April's miles

I forgot to post this at the begining of May and then I forgot how to get it on the blog.  Finally I remembered cut and paste (again my brain is failing me).  Ruth C added up my miles last month and said I was on track.  I do think I got a bit behind in April so will try harder this month.

Notes:  I missed some days this month unsure of the 14th and the 25th.

I ran 3.5 miles in Holyoke today to the end of the Highlands and back.  My anxieties about travel and Ruth's family have subsided.  Joanne sent me a message that we could figure it out.

I also rented a bounce house for the big 5 birthday.   I was feeling a bit desperate when I told one of the other Mom's from B's school that she wanted a bounce house and she laughed and asked where would I put it - she knew where we lived (postage stamp yard).   I tried the canoe club but they do not allow them for private parties - then at a last ditch effort I called the Holyoke Park and rec office.  They said sure just make sure the place I rented from had appropriate insurance.   Ha Mom's with big yards we can have a bounce house too

  1. Right on, Pat! You CAN have a bounce house! I think you should rent the biggest one you can find. Maybe hire a pony and a clown, too, since you will have a vast park at your disposal, not just a "big" yard in the Highlands.

When you plot out all that running mileage on a calendar, it is very impressive. I bet you will make 1000 miles by the end of a year.

Glad you're feeling better about the trip-Sandy

  2. I think you should rent a bounce house more often.

  3. I'm sure that you said that you ran at least 30 miles on both the 14th and the 25th!

Skype over the weekend? Tell Miss B that I'm going to read Nicholas Bunny in England and that she's got a copy of it too - we can read it together.

Awesome about the bounce house - I predict complete mayhem (in a good way).

  5. Just be careful if you get in the bouncy house yourself, Pat...us moms tend to pee a little when they jump like that! Teehee. Bennett is going to have a blast. Karen B

  6. When you are done with the bounce house - if you don't have to send it back right away - I know a great septic mound that it would like nice on and I know a lot of willing adults who would be happy to put it to use. We will have to limit the alcohol.
Glad you are in a better place about the trip.If you can, come up for lunch tomorrow.

  7. Pat, as you know, our house is in the highlands. Our yard is not very big, but i think we could fit a bounce house, and if you want to have the party in our yard, you are more than welcome to. We also have a small baby pool and a playscape with a slide. We are happy to help out, just let us know when. Amy
